VIDEO: Vlogmas - The Beginning!

Happy December! Well with another semester behind me, I finally have some free time to catch up on projects and just take time off to enjoy the season.

...HA. Almost said that with a straight face, me - rest? HA. (In all seriousness I have been fighting off a small plague so I've been spending a fair amount of time sleeping as of late, either that or I've died and turned into a zombie. I'm not quite sure any more)

I'm proud and slightly terrified to announce that I will be participating in Vlogmas on YouTube!

For some background, about two years ago I set up a YouTube channel to keep in contact with my friend Ainsley as she travelled across Canada for 8 months. We'd make videos back and forth with anecdotes and adventures very much in the vlog (video +blog) style of Vlogbrothers 2.0. Since then I have posted the odd vlog here and there, but what with starting back up with university, haven't really done much with the channel since. UNTIL NOW!

Vlogmas is a 30 day challenge for YouTubers to make a video every day for the month of December to celebrate the holiday season. I've been challenged to participate along with my good friends Ainsley, Libby and Georgia. We all have channels that sit stagnant for months at a time and are taking on this challenge to get back into the habit of picking up a camera. We set our a rough schedule of themes for ourselves, for which we could interpret and disregard as we please. I'm excited to see what directions this project takes us and what challenges it presents!

I'm particularly excited to take this on as a way to get back into the editing process as I prep for my Video Production II course next semester along with my Video Production Internship at The Orillia Museum of Art & History. I have Adobe Creative Cloud and need to get back into working Premiere Pro and experimenting with fun projects like this.

Here's the next 30 days - wish me luck, I feel I'm going to need it.

Here's the Introduction - Be kind, I was still running a fever when I did this:
